I want to plant a vegetable garden?
Each plant has a time period when they should be sown. Seed packages will tell you when. Some plants are more cold hardy than others.

The amount of sun you will need also depends on what you are growing. The better idea is to pick the area of your yard where you choose to plant (preferrably a sunnier spot) and decide what to grow based on how many hours of light the area gets during the day.

If you want to get started early, consider learning about winter sowing:

Garden web is a good resource for new gardeners:

Also, you may want to locate your nearest cooperative extension to learn more about what plants are typically grown in your area:

Have fun with it! Gardening is a wonderful pasttime.
Reply:My mom love's planting veggies so i always help so well you shoul plant your seeds where theres light shade/light sun so it get's both cause it does the best when it's like that. You can get seed's from your local like garden stores like OSH(Orchard Supply Hardware) or since you want veggies just take the veggie %26amp; cut it %26amp; inside there will be seed's that you can plant Summer or after winter is a good time to plant spring is alwaaays the best time to plant stuuuuff :) Bye!!
Reply:First you can get the seeds at most any store. On the back of the package of seeds it will tell you the growing conditions needed. When to plant, how long to grow and if it is right for your area. Good luck, gardening is fun and you can't beat the fresh veggies.
