What kind of plants should I use - not full sun - to hide neighbor's shed?

I live on Long Island, NY (in case the region helps answer this question). The houses are close together and my neighbor (who is annoying as could be) put up a shed against the side of his house, on his property. To open it, he has to go on our property. It looks right into our dining room, which is lovely to see while eating dinner. Long story short, I'd like to plant something along the side of my house to camoflage the shed but also to keep him on his side. Was thinking climbing roses on some trellises placed strategically a few feet apart, but because this area is between the two houses, it doesn't get full sun (partial sun at best). Any thoughts? The last resort is a fence down the middle, but I don't love that idea.

If i were you i would plant a couple of lilacs in a row or 2-3 high bush cranberries. These both flower in the spring and they do become rather full as well. These type of bushes are easy to shape and maintain as well. I had a situation like this and i planted 2 nice lilacs now all i see is flowers and birds in the spring and green in the summer. Also the thickness of these will also block out a good portion of the shed in the winter months as well
Reply:this site has beautiful stuff, there are so many pretty plants I don't even know what to suggest. http://www.autumnridgenursery.com/search...
Reply:plant blackberries or raspberries, this way you have the prick walking thru pricks and a nice sweet treat.
