Full sun. I live in the hot hot desert, in full sun, the roses grow like crazy. Cut them back HARD several times a year, they still grow like crazy!
Where should I plant a rose bush?? Full sun, shade, partial sun shade..what?? Thanks for any help..?
They need at least 6 hours of sun.
Reply:Everyone above me is correct. You can also try this website, it's chock full of information about any rose bush you want.

Just put in the name, or partial name, of the rose and the website will most likely come up with the one you want, along with any information you need about the plant.
Reply:Roses cannot get too much sunlight. Full sun is best. Mulch them well. Dead-head them often (use the petals for mulch). Bank them in winter. Fertilize. Most important - smell them!
Reply:roses like it hot, so full sun should do fine. FYI...place a banana at the root of the rose bush the extra potassium will make beautiful blooms.
