What time of year do you plant trees???? and what grows the fastest in full sun??

Fall or early spring in the midwest...but it depends on your geographical climate.

There are hybrid tree species now which can grow in full sun...and grow fast, several feet per year!

What time of year do you plant trees???? and what grows the fastest in full sun??
Leyland Cypress - very fast grower.
Reply:Ideally, trees should be planted in the early spring while they are still dormant. You can plant trees in the early fall but care must be taken to protect them from early frosts. This all depends, of course, on the climate where you live. Try visiting your State University Agriculture Extension office or any local nursery to find out what sort of trees will do best in your area.
Reply:best time for you.
Reply:When it is cool out is the best time, but you can plant anytime if you don't use fertilizer, try bonemeal and stake it well and water allot.
Reply:Leilandy. This conifer is one of the fastest-growing trees that you can plant nowadays.
Reply:When they are dormant, like in the late fall and early spring.
Reply:we have to get permission from our shade tree commission to plant trees and i asked the same thing two weeks ago. spring time and early fall is the best. if you live on the east coast, mid-end september into early october is the best if you want to still plant trees this year. so i would suggest (from what was suggested by the pros to me) anytime in the next few weeks.
